Some info on FLUORIDE .. , and info on Regenerating Bodily Tissues

FLUORIDE:

This comes from info that was posted on sunda, Jan 8, 2012, 6:45pm, written by Sayer Ji, Founder
of GreenMedInfo :     fluoride-calcifier
"Research published in 2001 showed that fluoride (F) deposits in the pineal gland with age and is associated with enhanced gland calcification."
He (speculates??) says that the Pineal if part of the Soul ..  it's know for producing Melatonin from serotonin. Our sleep patterns, seasonal rhythms. ..  when this gets calcified, it won't work right anymore and then it's a trickle down effect into many problems..
"Pineal gland calcification is associated with a number of diseases in the medical literature:
  1. Alzheimer Disease
  2. Bipolar Disease
  3. Circadian Dysregulation
  4. Hormone Imbalances: Low Melatonin
  5. Insomnia
  6. Low Back Pain
  7. Parkinson Disease
  8. Schizophrenia
  9. Sleep Disorders
  10. Stroke "
Prozac is fluoxetine and is approx 30% fluoride !!!??

"Eliminating exposure to fluoride is the #1 priority.  We can start by being careful about surreptitious forms of fluoride in Teflon, foods and beverages produced with muncipal water, tap water, infant formula, fluoride containing drugs like Prozac, toothpaste, etc."

THIS is about how 6 bodily tissues can be regenerated through nutrition.
Written by the same as above on Jun 29th, 2012    -bodily-tissues-regenerated

"  Nerve Regeneration – There are actually a broad range of natural compounds with proven nerve-regenerative effects. A 2010 study published in the journal Rejuvenation Research, for instance, found a combination of blueberry, green tea and carnosine have neuritogenic (i.e. promoting neuronal regeneration) and stem-cell regenerative effects in an animal model of neurodegenerative disease. [1] Other researched neuritogenic substances include:
  1. Curcumin
  2. Lion's Mane Mushroom
  3. Apigenin (compound in vegetables like celery)
  4. Blueberry
  5. Ginseng
  6. Huperzine
  7. Natto
  8. Red Sage
  9. Resveratrol
  10. Royal Jelly
  11. Theanine
  12. Ashwaganda
  13. Coffee (trigonelline)

Liver RegenerationGlycyrrhizin, a compound found within licorice, and which we recently featured as a powerful anti-SARS virus agent,  has also been found to stimulate the regeneration of liver mass and function in the animal model of hepatectomy. Other liver regenerative substances include:
  1. Carvacrol (a volatile compound in oregano)
  2. Curcumin
  3. Korean Ginseng
  4. Rooibos
  5. Vitamin E
  Beta Cell Regeneration:
  1. Gymenna Sylvestre ("the sugar destroyer")
  2. Nigella Sativa ("black cumin")
  3. Vitamin D
  4. Curcumin (from the spice Turmeric)
  5. Arginine
  6. Avocado
  7. Berberine (found in bitter herbs such as Goldenseal and Barberry)
  8. Bitter Melon
  9. Chard (yes, the green leafy vegetables)
  10. Corn Silk
  11. Stevia
  12. Sulforaphane (especially concentrated in broccoli sprouts)

Hormone Regeneration – there are secretagogues, which increase the endocrine glands' ability to secrete more hormone, and there are substances that truly regenerate hormones which have degraded (by emitting electrons) into potentially carcinogenic "transient hormone" metabolites. One of these substances is vitamin C. A powerful electron donor, this vitamin has the ability to contribute electrons to resurrect the form and function of estradiol (estrogen; E2), progesterone, testosterone, for instance. [2] In tandem with foods that are able to support the function of glands, such as the ovaries, vitamin C may represent an excellent complement or alternative to hormone replacement therapy.
Cardiac Cell Regeneration – Not too long ago, it was believed that cardiac tissue was uniquely incapable of being regenerated. A new, but rapidly growing body of experimental research now indicates that this is simply not true, and there is a class of heart-tissue regenerating compounds known as neocardiogenic substances.  Neocardiogenic substances are able to stimulate the formation of cardiac progenitor cells which can differentiate into healthy heart tissue, and they include the following:
  1. Resveratrol
  2. Siberian Ginseng (Eleuthero)
  3. Red Wine Extract
  4. Geum Japonicum
  5. N-acetyl-cysteine
Cartilage/Joint/Spine RegenerationCurcumin and resveratrol have been shown to improve recovery from spinal cord injury.  Over a dozen other natural compounds hold promise in this area, which can be viewed on our Spinal Cord Injury page.  As far as degenerative joint disease, i.e. osteoarthritis, there are a broad range of potentially regenerative substances, with 50 listed on our osteoarthritis research page."

On Wiki I was looking at  Chinese_herbology  :
" There are over three hundred herbs that are commonly being used today. Some of the most commonly used herbs are Ginseng (人参, 人參, rénshēn), wolfberry (枸杞子), Dong Quai (Angelica sinensis, 当归, 當歸, dāngguī), astragalus (黄耆, 黃耆, huángqí), atractylodes (白术, 白朮, báizhú), bupleurum (柴胡, cháihú), cinnamon (cinnamon twigs (桂枝, guìzhī) and cinnamon bark (肉桂, ròuguì)), coptis (黄莲, 黃蓮, huánglián), ginger (姜, 薑, jiāng), hoelen (茯苓, fúlíng), licorice (甘草, gāncǎo), ephedra sinica (麻黄, 麻黃, máhuáng), peony (white: 白芍, báisháo and reddish: 赤芍, chìsháo), rehmannia (地黄, 地黃, dìhuáng), rhubarb (大黄, 大黃, dàhuáng), and salvia (丹参, 丹參, dānshēn).  "

Non-Hodgekins Lymphoma... things related

My mom has Non-Hodgekin's Lymphoma. .. Here are some things related to this...
and dealing with that and maybe other things along the way..
                                   I'm not sure yet..
         Ref:  Non-Hodgkin_lymphoma   in WiKi.
       lymphoma-non-hodgkin/subtypes Subtypes..

1]  Diagnosed Nov. 2011.. started with another doctor saying that she had
something like Agglutin Disease (?).. Red Blood Cells looked funny.
So, they did a procedure that I held her hand throughout.. taking some
bone merrow out of her back/pelvis area..  (I know it was may more
painful for her than me.. but.. I hope I never have to go thru that
as an observer OR a participant...please, Lord!?)

2]  She had a fantastic doctor.. Dr. Patricia Deisler .. for a year..
I loved that this woman was positive, supportive,  and knowledgable
in nutrition!  But, she's moved on as of  Nov 2012..

3]   This week, my moms blood count was 'better' than previous.. but
they added in a "Coomb's Test for Antiglobulin..
I presume this is a DAT (Direct) test for Auto Immune
Hemolytic Anemia ..   It shows if her low RBC is due to
the RBC membraines causing RBC destruction.

Functional status
To determine a patient’s prognosis, the doctor may also test how well a patient is able to function and carry out daily activities by using a functional assessment scale, such as the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group (ECOG) Performance Status or the Karnofsky Performance Scales (KPS).
ECOG Performance Status. A lower score indicates a better functional status. Typically, the better someone is able to walk and care for himself or herself, the better the prognosis.
0: Fully active, able to carry on all pre-disease performance without restriction
1: Restricted in physically strenuous activity but ambulatory and able to carry out work of a light or sedentary nature, such as light house work or office work
2: Ambulatory and capable of all self-care but unable to carry out any work activities. Up and about more than 50% of waking hours
3: Capable of only limited self-care; confined to bed or chair more than 50% of waking hours
4: Completely disabled; cannot carry on any self-care; totally confined to bed or chair
5: Dead
KPS. A higher score indicates a better functional status.
100: Normal, no complaints, no evidence of disease
90: Able to carry on normal activity; minor symptoms of disease
80: Normal activity with effort; some symptoms of disease
70: Cares for self; unable to carry on normal activity or active work
60: Requires occasional assistance but is able to care for needs
50: Requires considerable assistance and frequent medical care
40: Disabled; requires special care and assistance
30: Severely disabled; hospitalization is indicated, but death is not imminent
20: Very sick; hospitalization necessary; active treatment necessary
10: Approaching death; fatal processes progressing rapidly
0: Dead

Bone marrow aspiration and biopsy: These procedures are often done after lymphoma has been diagnosed to help determine if it has reached the bone marrow. The two tests are often done at the same time. The samples are usually taken from the back of the pelvic (hip) bone, although in some cases they may be taken from the sternum (breast bone) or other bones.
In bone marrow aspiration, you lie on a table (either on your side or on your belly). After cleaning the skin over the hip, the doctor numbs the area and the surface of the bone with local anesthetic, which may cause a brief stinging or burning sensation. A thin, hollow needle is then inserted into the bone and a syringe is used to suck out a small amount of liquid bone marrow (about 1 teaspoon). Even with the anesthetic, most patients still have some brief pain when the marrow is removed.
A bone marrow biopsy is usually done just after the aspiration. A small piece of bone and marrow is removed with a slightly larger needle that is twisted as it is pushed down into the bone. The biopsy may also cause some brief pain. Once the biopsy is done, pressure will be applied to the site to help stop any bleeding.

BODY LANGUAGE...hints.

- Mae West
Practice avoiding these 25 negative gestures:
  1. Holding Objects in Front of Your Body – a coffee cup, notebook, hand bag, etc.  Holding objects in front of your body indicates shyness and resistance, such that you’re hiding behind the objects in an effort to separate yourself from others.  Instead of carrying objects in front of you, carry them at your side whenever possible.
  2. Checking the Time or Inspecting Your Fingernails – a strong sign of boredom.  Never glance at the time when you’re speaking with someone.  Likewise, completely avoid the act of inspecting your fingernails.
  3. Picking Lint Off of Your Clothes – If you pick lint off of your clothes during a conversation, especially in conjunction with looking downwards, most people will assume that you disapprove of their ideas and/or feel uneasy about giving them an honest opinion.  Leave the lint alone!
  4. Stroking Your Chin While Looking at Someone – “I’m judging you!”  People frequently stroke their chin during the decision-making process.  If you look at someone while you’re stroking your chin, they may assume that you’re making a judgmental decision about them.
  5. Narrowing Your Eyes – If you want to give someone the impression that you don’t like them (or their ideas), narrow your eyes while looking at them.  It immediately places a scowling expression on your face.  A slight narrowing of the eyes is an instinctual, universal expression of anger across various species in the animal kingdom (think about the angry expressions of tigers, dogs, etc.).  Some people make the mistake of narrowing their eyes during a conversation as a reflex of thinking.  Don’t send people the wrong message… don’t narrow your eyes.
  6. Standing Too Close – This just makes people feel uncomfortable.  Most people consider the 4 square feet of space immediately surrounding their body to be personal space.  Cross this invisible boundary with good friends and intimate mates only.
  7. Looking Down While in the Presence of Others – usually indicates disinterest.  Sometimes it’s even interpreted as a casual sign of arrogance.  Always look straight ahead and make eye contact when you see someone you know.
  8. Touching Your Face During a Conversation – Face touching, especially on the nose, is commonly interpreted as an indication of deception.  Also, covering up the mouth is a common gesture people make when they’re lying.  Always keep your hands away from your face when you’re speaking.
  9. Faking a Smile – another sign of deception commonly seen on the face of a fraud.  A genuine smile wrinkles the corners of the eyes and changes the expression of the entire face.  Fake smiles only involve the mouth and lips.  It’s easy to distinguish between the two.  Don’t force yourself to smile… unless it’s for the camera.
  10. Leaning Away From Someone You Like – a sign of being bored and disinterested.  Some people may also interpret it to mean: “I don’t like you.”  People typically lean towards people they like and away from people they dislike.  This is especially true when they are sitting around a table.  If you lean away from someone you like, you’re sending them the wrong message.
  11. Resting Hands Behind the Head or on the Hips – usually interpreted as a sign of superiority or bigheadedness.  Only use these gestures when you’re in the presence of close friends.
  12. Not Directly Facing the Person You’re Speaking To – This indicates a certain level of discomfort or a lack of interest.  When we’re happily engaged in a conversation we face the person we’re speaking to with our feet and torso facing directly forward.  When we’re unsure of the other person, or not completely committed to the conversation, we tend to angle our feet and torso to the side.  Face directly forward during a conversation to give off the impression that you’re truly interested in what the other person is saying.
  13. Crossing Your Arms – a sign of defensive resistance.  Some people may also interpret it as a sign of egotism.  Always try to keep your arms open and at your sides.
  14. Displaying a Sluggish Posture – When you’re in an environment bustling with people your posture becomes an immediate telltale sign of your confidence and composure.  Your stance literally makes a stand for you, delivering a clear message about how you should be treated.  It can make a huge difference in the way strangers respond to you.  Place your feet a comfortable distance apart, keep your shoulders pulled back, head up and greet people with direct eye contact and a firm handshake.
  15. Scratching at the Backside of Your Head and Neck – a typical sign of doubt and uncertainty.  It can also be interpreted as an indication of lying.  Try to keep your hands away from your head when you’re communicating with others.
  16. Messing With the Collar of Your Shirt – It screams: “I feel horribly uncomfortable and/or nervous!”  Once again, keep track of your hands.  Don’t fidget.
  17. Increasing Your Rate of Blinking – a clear sign of anxiety.  Some people start blinking their eyes really fast (in conjunction with an increased heart rate) when they get nervous.  Since most people try to make eye contact, it becomes immediately obvious to others.  Be cognizant of your blinking habits when you’re nervous, especially if someone is looking at you from a close proximity.
  18. Slouching Your Shoulders – indicates low self-esteem.  People associate perked-up shoulders with strong self-confidence.  Always pull your shoulders back.  Not only will you look more confident, you’ll feel more confident as well.
  19. Standing with Your Hands Crossed Over Your Genitals – This casual posture almost guarantees that you’ll lose a little respect before you even have the chance to speak a single word.  People feeling nervous or unsure of themselves will unconsciously take a guarded stance.  Quite frequently they adopt a posture that guards one of their most vulnerable areas, their genitals.  This stance pushes your shoulders forward and makes your entire body look smaller and weaker.  Again, try to keep your hands at your sides and your shoulders back.
  20. Propping Up Your Head with Your Hands – “I’m getting bored!”  Never prop up your head with your elbows and hands during a conversation.  Place your hands on the table in front of you and keep them at rest.
  21. Wiping Sweaty Hands onto Your Clothes – a sign of frantic nervousness.  If your hands are sweating, just let them sweat.  Take a few deep breaths and try to relax.
  22. Sitting on the Edge of Your Chair – a clear indication of being mentally and physically uncomfortable.  It’s an apprehensive stance that will make others around you feel uncomfortable as well.  Keep your rear end firmly planted on the surface of the seat.  When you lean forward, use your back without moving your bottom.
  23. Foot and Finger Tapping – usually indicates stress, impatience or boredom.  Monitor your habits and practice keeping your limbs at rest.
  24. Using Your Hands to Fidget with Small Objects – a pen, paper ball, etc.  This is another sign of anxiety.  It can also be interpreted as a lack of preparedness.  It’s always best to keep your hands comfortably at rest when you’re in the presence of others.
  25. Repeatedly Shifting Body Weight from Foot to Foot – This is another gesture that usually indicates mental and physical discomfort.  People may also see this and assume that you’re ready to abandon the conversation, especially if you’re not directly facing them.  Don’t shift your feet around more than once every 2 to 3 minutes.

Stevia....Ground Cherries..

In Wiki:
Stevia-rebaudiana PIC    STEVIA

Commercialization

Steviol glycosides were first commercialized as a sweetener in 1971 by the Japanese firm Morita Kagaku Kogyo Co., Ltd., a leading stevia extract producer in Japan.
Stevia has been grown on an experimental basis in Ontario, Canada since 1987 for the purpose of determining the feasibility of growing the crop commercially.
In 2007, The Coca-Cola Company announced plans to obtain approval for their stevia-derived sweetener, rebiana, for use as a food additive within the United States by 2009, as well as plans to market rebiana-sweetened products in 12 countries that allow stevia's use as a food additive.[35][36] In May 2008, Coca Cola and Cargill announced the availability of Truvia, a consumer brand stevia sweetener containingerythritol and rebiana,[37] which the FDA permitted as a food additive in December 2008.[38] Coca-Cola announced intentions to release stevia-sweetened beverages in late December 2008.[39]
Shortly afterward, PepsiCo and Pure Circle announced PureVia, their brand of stevia-based sweetener, but withheld release of beverages sweetened with rebaudioside A until receipt of FDA confirmation. Since the FDA permitted Truvia and PureVia, both Coca Cola and PepsiCo have introduced products that contain their new sweeteners.[40]

GROUND CHERRY:
wiki/Ground_cherry
These plants grow in most soil types and do very well in poor soils and in pots. They need lots of water throughout the growing year, except towards fruit-ripening time. Plants are susceptible to many of the common tomato diseases and pests; other pests such as aphids, white flies, spider mites, and the false potato beetle (Leptinotarsa juncta) also attack them. Propagation is by seed. Some species are self-incompatible and require multiple plants for fruit set.
In Chinese medicine, the Physalis is used as a remedy for abscesses, coughs, fevers and sore throats, among others.[5] Smooth groundcherry (P. subglabrata) is considered a hallucinogenic plant by some, and its cultivation for other than ornamental purposes is outlawed in Louisiana by State Act 159. However, its use as a hallucinogen does not appear widespread.

Cough-Be-Gone and Sore Throat Syrup Recipe

In Rosemary’s book, she lists the ingredients as follows:
  • 4 parts fennel seed
  • 2 parts licorice root
  • 2 parts slippery elm bark
  • 2 parts valerian
  • 2 parts  wild cherry bark
  • 1 part cinnamon bark
  • ½ part ginger root
  • 1/8 part orange  peel
To make 1 quart of herbal infusion, Rosemary recommend 2 ounces of herb mixture to one quart of water.  To get roughly the right weight, I used 2 tablespoons fennel seed, 1 tbsp licorice root, 1 tbsp, slippery elm bark, 1 tbsp valerian, 1 tbsp wild cherry bark, 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon bark, 3/4 teaspoon ginger root and 1/4 teaspoon orange peel.  All measurements were a little generous so I had enough to get 2 ounces.

Thyroid..cabbage..iodine..Skunks

Just a note about getting skunk smells out of your dog (or...whatever???)..: 1/2 c. peroxide 1/2 c. baking soda 2 T dawn dish detergent.. scrub it in.. shampoo again with regular shampoo.. then condition.. .. another person says: V8 Juice and baking soda .. haven't had this problem yet but... how knows that the future holds!!??

---

AT : Remedies/cabbage
08/20/2011: Bob from Attica, Ny replies: "The best thing you can do for any thyroid condition is to take a good quality nascent iodine. It is different than the type of iodine in Lugal's Solution. It's in the atomic form, which is immediately absorbed by the body and goes straight to the thyroid. You want to take a 200 mcg dose in about 2 ounces of unchlorinated, unfluoridated water every 2-3 hours. Iodine is metabolized by the body in about 3 hours so small doses every few hours is better than one big dose a day. Also best taken on an empty stomach first thing in the morning. Iodine is easily bound up and oxidized by proteins when mixed with foods, rendering it useless. Also nascent iodine is energizing, so it can cause sleep problems if taken before bed.
Contrary to false information spread by many ill informed doctors, iodine isn't added to bread and hasn't been since the 60's. It was replaced by bromide. In fact since then iodine has been replaced in all other foods with other halogens (bromide, fluoride and chloride) which makes the problem exponentially worse. They have essentially caused widespread thyroid problems and major iodine deficiencies. Those other halogens bind to thyroid receptors and prevent iodine from being absorbed. It takes a substantial amount of iodine (through loading) to shake those other halogens free from receptors and get them removed from the body. That is if you are not shooting yourself in the foot and constantly ingesting the other halogens (breads, fluoride toothpaste, chlorinated and/or fluoridated water) This will make the iodine you do take much more effective.
Good way to tell how efficiently your body is absorbing the iodine is by taking a standard 200mcg dose of nascent iodine and then pay attention to the color of your urine when using the restroom. Iodine will make your urine bright yellow, like B-vitamins do, so if it is bright yellow it is being poorly absorbed and passing right through you. Btw, if you think you are getting enough iodine by using iodized table salt, you are wrong. Not only is it a poorly absorbed form of iodine, but you would have to eat about 200 grams of it daily. The 2 best things a person can do for their health is to start supplementing with a high quality nascent iodine and remove all soy and all its bi-products (oils, proteins, lectins, lecithin, etc. ) from their diets. Everyone should be doing it."

04/14/2011: Adrienne from Dayton, Ohio replies: "I have a simple way to ferment cabbage... 1 head nappa cabbage, 1/2 onion(color no matter), 1/4 cup salt, 1/4 tsp soy sauce, 1/4 apple, 1/4 cup red pepper paste
cut up your cabbage and put into a big bowl with the salt... Let wilt till it about half of what it was. While your waiting blend up your onion and apple to a paste and set aside, then blend the red pepper flakes till it is a power add a few drops of water to make a paste. When cabbage is wilted enough drain the water and wash off the salt. I pat dry with a towel. Add to your bowl of cabbage all other items.. And mix well.. This will be a bit spicy.. When it is mixed together I put it in a glass mason jar with a lid.. And keep in the fridge it will last about a mo... I eat it with rice or beans but I do it every day for my joints and other issues."

04/28/2009: Joyce from Joelton, Tn: "Here is a recipe for people in need of probiotics & little money. It is said the cabbage juice will purify the G I tract & kill most strains fungi, parasites and other pathogens. Instructions are to drink this juice (1/2 cup juice & finish filling cup with water) 2 to 3 times per day. Since most vegetables are supposed to work, except for tomatoes) you can probably boost its kick with utilizing some of those so called weeds from the yard (dandelion, dock, broad leaf plantain, wild mustard, shepherds purse, wild onions, etc). Drink until your stools float in the toilet bowl and are odor free. The cabbage can be eaten for extra benefit after straining.
Cultured Cabbage Juice
Fill blender with chopped green cabbage. Add distilled water until 2/3 full. Blend on hiigh for 1-2 minutes. Pour out into large bowl and repeat for 2 more batches.
Cover with cheese cloth, gauze or stocking and let stand at room temperature X 3 days. Strain to separate juice & pulp. Place cultured cabbage juice in refrigerator.
When supply gets low start new batch, but add 1/2 cup of cultured juice (Starter) and new batch will be ready in 24 hours."
